For who
The matcha gift for someone who would actually use a real ceremony kit. Yame first-harvest matcha is bright and slightly sweet — friendly to first-time matcha drinkers, satisfying for habituals. The whisk and bowl get used daily; the celadon caddy stays on the counter as quiet décor.
Why a single-cultivar matcha
Most matcha sold in the U.S. is a blend. Single-origin matcha (one farm, one cultivar, one harvest) gives you a cleaner, more specific flavor. Yame is the second-most respected matcha-producing region in Japan after Uji — known for first-harvest matcha with a lighter, almost-floral profile.
Shipping & gift
Orders usually ship within 1–2 business days from California. Delivery timing depends on carrier and destination. The kraft + ribbon box is the gift wrap — no extra wrapping needed.

What's in the Matcha Ritual Bundle
Five pieces, one quiet morning ritual
Hand-cut bamboo whisk, ceramic chawan, single-origin Yame matcha, and a Ru-Kiln tea caddy — gift-boxed in California.
What's in the box
A complete ritual kit — every piece you need, nothing extra
Five pieces, hand-packed in a kraft + ribbon gift box: a Hand-cut Madake bamboo whisk (~80 prongs, the count traditional tea masters recommend for daily usucha), a hand-pinched ceramic chawan (matcha bowl, 80–100 ml), a Nami Yame single-origin first-harvest matcha tin (30g), a Ru-Kiln celadon ceramic tea caddy for storage, and a care-and-brewing card. The whole set retails for $178.97 separately and arrives ready to gift, no extra wrapping needed.
Nami Yame Matcha — 30g single-origin
Single-origin first-harvest matcha from Yame, Fukuoka
The matcha is Nami Yame — single-origin first-harvest from Yame in Fukuoka, one of the three top matcha-producing regions in Japan. 30g sealed tin, about 20 ceremonial servings (1.5g each). Shade-grown in the final weeks before harvest to deepen chlorophyll and L-theanine, then stone-ground to the fine powder that froths properly with a chasen. We chose a small tin over a large one because freshness matters more than volume — 30g is the right amount to pair with a new whisk so the first cup is matcha at its best.
Ru-Kiln Ceramic Tea Caddy
A celadon storage piece you keep within reach
The Ru-Kiln Ceramic Tea Caddy in this set is a celadon-style piece inspired by Song-dynasty Chinese tea ware — soft crackle finish, hand-glazed. Airtight, dual-purpose: holds matcha straight from the tin, or transitions to loose-leaf tea or ground coffee once the original is finished. The caddy stays on the counter rather than the cabinet — the kind of object that earns its place by getting used every day.
From Lisa
What to give someone you want to slow down
This set is one of my honest recommendations for someone who doesn't need more things but could use more mornings that feel a little better. Matcha is one of those practices that gives back more than it asks — ten minutes, a bowl, some hot water. This gift is a way of saying: here's ten minutes I want you to take for yourself. — Lisa
